EDIT: Crocodilia Available in California Again! - Rayne Clinical Nutrition

EDIT 1/10/2020:

A federal judge has temporarily blocked the California law banning the import and sale of alligator and crocodile products. A hearing for the longer term is scheduled for April 24th. Sale of our Crocodilia products in California is allowed until further notice.

On October 12, 2019 the California state legislature passed Assembly Bill No. 1260, outlawing the sale of crocodile or alligator meat. The full text of the bill can be found here.

While we respect the intentions behind this law, the results will make it impossible for us to sell or ship any of our diets and treats that utilize crocodilian protein. Kangaroo products also remain banned.

The following Rayne products will be prohibited in California as of January 1:

  • Crocodilia-DIAG Canine

  • Crocodilia-DIAG Canine Air-Dried

  • Crocodilia-MAINT Canine

  • Rayne Rewards Simple Ingredient Treat | Alligator

  • Kangaroo-DIAG Canine

  • Kangaroo-DIAG Feline

  • Kangaroo-DIAG Air-Dried Canine

  • Kangaroo-MAINT Canine

  • Kangaroo-MAINT Feline

  • Low-Fat Kangaroo-MAINT Canine

  • Low-Fat Kangaroo/Quinoa-MAINT Canine

  • Rayne Rewards Simple Ingredient Treat | Kangaroo

  • Kangaroo Meatballs Treats

We know that pets in California currently on Crocodilia diets may be sensitive to dietary changes. Customers who wish to stock up must complete orders before December 26. Please consult with your veterinarian to find a suitable alternative going forward.

We apologize for any inconvenience this new law may cause.
