We would like to reassure you that our supply of kangaroo remains strong.
We have recently received an increase in questions about our kangaroo supply from customers after they learned one of the largest pet food companies has been informing people they are running out of kangaroo and expect to be out of stock for an extended period. We are also hearing from customers enquiring if there is any impact to our kangaroo supply due to COVID-19 or the Australian wildfires.
Kangaroo-based products are a significant part of our business and we are highly focused on maintaining a constant supply for our customers who depend on our kangaroo products. We work with three different suppliers and all of them have continued to fulfill all of our orders.
Additionally, we have taken prudent measures by increasing the amount of kangaroo meat we have on hand, as well as by adjusting our buying cycle to be slightly ahead of usual timings so any delays in shipment do not cause gaps in product availability.
The kangaroo meat we use comes from humane population control in Australia —in fact, this is how 100% of the world’s commercial supply of kangaroo meat is sourced. We are confident these efforts to manage our kangaroo sourcing will provide you with continuity.
